Belfast and Giant's Causeway Weekender
Hop across the water to Northern Ireland and photograph one of the UK’s most interesting and vibrant cities, plus, the worlds famous stunning Giant's Causeway. In recent years Belfast has pulled off a remarkable transformation from the bombs-and-bullets of sectarian violence to a home of hipster hotels, bars and restaurants.
On this weekender, we’ll be exploring the very best photography locations, from the scars of the past troubled times painted in murals on the walls of buildings in the famous Falls Road, to the incredible landscapes of the Giant's Causeway.
This weekender will be focused on a range of photographic subjects from old shipyards on the Lagan to the stunning, star-shaped edifice housing the Titanic Belfast centre. You’ll benefit from the knowledge of our local photographer who’ll show you all the hidden spots!
You will be met by your guide and local photograher from Belfast airport on Friday and check into Premier Inn Belfast. Then we’ll head out to shoot either, Titanic museum or Hike up Cavehill to shoot the sunset over the city (weather dependant of course). Then it will be time to head to the iconic Crown Liquor Saloon for a Guinness, after that pick you up we will visit The Muddlers Club for some of the city’s finest food.
On Saturday we'll head out to shoot the Harland and Wolff Cranes, Belfast's famous yellow cranes, Samson and Goliath. After that we’ll have lunch in Dock Cafe, then we’ll go on a walking tour of the Falls Road murals. We will then pack up our bags and head along the coast to Ballycastle, where we’ll check into the Marine Hotel before heading to the pub to hear some traditional irish music.
On Sunday we'll get up at sunrise and head to the world famous Giant's Causeway. We’ll head back to the cafe for lunch, grab our bags and head back to the airport.
We'll be staying at two hotels on this weekender, for Belfast on day one we recommend booking rooms at Premier Inn Belfast, City Cathedral Quarter Hotel for £80 per night for bed and breakfast. For the second night we recommend booking the Marine Hotel, Ballycastle on the beautiful coast of Northern Ireland .

“The area [Abruzzo] abounds with unspoilt national parks, medieval field strips, extraordinary, often ruined, architecture and wildlife. You could call it authentic Italy, unmarred by too much exposure to the modern world”
