What you’ll learn on this 8-day photography holiday

Frui adopts a positive teaching approach, meaning our encouraging and supportive tutors focus on what you are doing right, not wrong. As everyone at Frui comes from a fine art background, and not just purely photographic, our tutors focus on the creative aspects of photography, rather than solely the technical.

On all our photography holidays, whether beginner or intermediate, tutors will spend a lot of time sitting with you (with a glass of wine, of course!) and looking at your photographs on an individual basis. You will also learn:

• To develop an individual style/voice
  
• How to start to ‘say’ something with your images
  
• Rules of composition, both basic and more advanced
  
• All about exposure – ISO, shutter speed and aperture (for beginners and those who would like a refresher)
  
• How to make the most of your subject and location
  
• The art of night photography
  
• Editing techniques and how to form a series of images
  
• A history of photography and about the work of some old masters
  

Don’t forget that with Frui you also get a tutor for life, who will set you regular projects and be on hand to offer feedback on your work!
