Photography holiday in Syria
Syria will inspire and captivate you. Lose yourself in the history and magic of the awe-inspiring crusader castle, Krak des Chevaliers, the magnificent ruined desert city of Palmyra and the hustle and bustle of Aleppo’s exotic souk.
This rich and seductively visual 8-day holiday is tailored to give you a truly under the skin view of this incredible destination. Ideal for both the novice and more experienced photographer, you will have the chance to hone your shutter skills among some of the world’s most stunning wonders.
For those who are new to photography, you will be introduced to the rules of composition and the fundamental techniques of digital photography, but most importantly, you will learn to see the world through more photographic eyes. If you have more experience, you will be able to recap on some of the fundamental techniques (if needed), as well as be guided to find your own ‘photographic voice’, so you can start to say something with your images, making them more individual and really stand out.
Regardless of your level, all of us will enjoy the mouth watering local cuisine, the warm hospitality of the locals and find ourselves being charmed and entertained from the moment we arrive.
During this holiday we will step way off the tourist trail and have the opportunity to meet local Syrians in their homes, tents and workplaces. Unlike many Muslim countries, the Syrian people are happy to have their photograph taken. And due to the forward thinking nature of the government, locals respect and value Western visitors meaning Syria is a very safe and welcoming country.
With our experienced guides and expert tutors always on hand to ensure your comfort and security, all you have to do is concentrate on capturing all the breathtaking wonders Syria has to offer with your camera.
And, as always with Frui, our attentive guides and tutors will organise everything for you and cater for your every need. Everything from shopping trips, personal guides, excursions, restaurants, accommodation and transfers - it's like having your very own butler with you on holiday! You won't need to worry about a thing, allowing you to focus on having fun, relaxing and being creative.
