Photography in Abruzzo

Mountainous plateaux, majestic valleys and picturesque hilltop towns. Abruzzo is Italy's most stunning and unspoiled region.

Introduction

Visit one of Italy’s hidden gems. From the ancient hilltop town of Santo Stefano to the epic plateaux of the Gran Sasso mountains, this introductory photography holiday will see some of Italy's most breathtaking vistas filling your viewfinder.

This holiday is a fun, creative and sociable way to experience authentic Italy. We’ll stroll through picturesque landscapes, photograph villages lost in time, and feast on the region’s world famous cuisine.

What Makes This Trip Special?

This is Italy off the beaten track. But Frui’s friends in Abruzzo are only too keen to make us feel at home and show off the best of this beautiful region. We’ll stay in renovated village buildings and everything we eat and drink will have been planted, grown and harvested by local farmers and wine producers. This is a holiday where friendships are forged over meals that can last hours and where every mouthful is an event to be savoured.

Why Photograph Here?

Abruzzo’s varied subjects are bound to stimulate your photographic creativity. Here you can capture epic landscape shots, portraits of characterful locals and documentary images of local culture. The relaxed pace of the trip, your on-hand photography tutor and the odd glass of local wine will make sure you’re free to focus on producing your best photographs.
