Loch Lomond Photography Weekender
Why not join Frui for some lessons on how to shoot the most amazing landscapes in the British Isles? Lying on the Highland Boundary Fault, Loch Lomond is 24.5 miles long with more than 30 islands surrounded by beautiful mountains. Exploring this magnificent landscape will take us along the loch, over mountains and behind castle walls. And who knows, there might even be a spot of whiskey tasting too...
On Friday you will be collected at Glasgow airport, travel to Balmaha and check into The Oak Tree Inn. On Saturday you will enjoy a photography walk around Conic Hill for panoramic views, a boat cruise on the loch for some views from the water, and sunset at Salloch Bay for some twilight photography. On Sunday you will travel to The Devil's Pulpit, walk the sculpture trail at Loch Ard, and spend the evening at Queen's View. On Monday we will go to Glengoyne for a Glengoyne distillery tour, relax at Mugdock Country Park, visit Mugdock Castle, before returning to Glasgow airport in the afternoon for your flight home.
We recommend booking rooms at The Oak Tree Inn, Balmaha, Loch Lomond, G63 0JQ. They have a number of rooms still available for the August weekend starting from £80 per night for bed and breakfast. Rooms are booking out fast, so we suggest booking early to avoid disappointment. Alternatively, you can book accommodation in or around Balmaha, as this is where the group will be based.
We recommend taking the following flights from London Stansted to Glasgow with Ryanair:
24 August, depart London Stansted 16.00, arrive Glasgow 17.20.
27 August, depart Glasgow 17.45, arrive London Stansted 19.05.
